TERRAIN
The property ranges in elevation from 8400 to 8600 ft.  The top of Little Iles Mountain is at 9000'.  Weather is usually warm in the day and cool at night during the archery and muzzleloader seasons. The rifle seasons are cooler and heavy snows may occur at this time of the year. Hunters MUST be properly equipped, this includes tire chains that fit your vehicle.  The area is excellent wildlife habitat, elk and deer success rates are good. Horses are available to rent nearby.  Click here for a USGS aerial photo and topo map of the Beaver Springs area:  USGS aerial photo and topo map

This is Terry from Ohio with a nice bull he got 2nd season of 2005. Fairly warm early in the 2005 hunting season, most of the bulls still up high on the mountain.
